1. Information We Collect

When you use SoftCrush we collect:

• Account info: email, password (encrypted), date of birth
• Profile info: name, age, city, bio, interests, photos
• Approximate location to find nearby matches
• Messages you send to your matches
• Likes, matches, blocks, and reports

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide the matching and messaging features
• Show you nearby profiles based on your search radius
• Keep the community safe (moderation, blocks, reports)
• Communicate important updates about your account

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information only with:

• Other users — your profile (name, age, photos, bio, interests, city, distance) is visible to other authenticated users
• Service providers — Supabase (database, storage, auth) under strict data agreements
• Legal authorities — when required by law or to protect user safety

4. Location Data

We use your approximate location only to calculate distance to other users. Your exact coordinates are never shown to other users — they only see distance in kilometres. You can disable location at any time from your device settings.

5. Photos

Photos you upload are stored privately. Only authenticated SoftCrush users can view photos. Photos are accessed via signed URLs that expire over time.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — download via Profile settings
• Correct inaccurate data — edit anytime in Profile
• Delete your account — Profile → Delete account (permanent)
• Object to processing — contact admin@softcrush.app

7. Data Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account all your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.

8. Children

SoftCrush is strictly for users 18 and older. We verify age at signup. If we discover an account belongs to someone under 18 we delete it immediately.

9. Security

We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
